AGENTS OF SHIELD “Deals With Our Devils” Sneak Peeks

It’s been a cruel mini-hiatus for fans of Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD (a hiatus for scheduled holiday-themed programming that does not bode will for a season 5), but thankfully the show returns to screens this Tuesday with “Deals With Our Devils.”

ABC teases the episode — in which SHIELD mourns the loss of its teammates — as follows:

With the loss of half the team, the remaining members search for answers as the clock counts down for Ghost Rider.

Those log lines, although brief, have given us plenty to consider over the last couple of weeks, but more intriguing still are these new sneak peek clips from Tuesday’s hour.

The first snippet sees Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) called in to help with an unusual case of of terrigenisis. Jemma arrives to what looks lie a secret government location with a bag over her head, and her questions about the identity of the unknown subject completely shut down. Who’s under the rock, and why is his/her transformation stalled?

While we’re half suspecting this moment to be part of a clever flashback (could this even be Jason O’Mara’s Jeffrey Mace origin story?), we know that it will somehow find its way into a current story line that is hurtling towards the mid-season finale on December 6th.

Meanwhile, clip 2, sees Daisy offering comfort to Robbie’s younger brother, only for their conversation to be interrupted by some uncharacteristic behavior from Mac.

“Deals with Our Devils” was written by DJ Doyle and directed by Jesse Bochco.

It airs Tuesday November 29 2016  on ABC.
