BLINDSPOT “Hero Fears Imminent Rot” Sneak Peeks

Infiltrating Sandstorm and getting close to Shepherd has been a relatively pain free (discounting that bullet to the side) process for Jane, until now.

But Blindspot returns tonight with an episode that will test Jane (Jaimie Alexander) to the core as her story is put to the ultimate test.

When we last checked in on our favorite amnesiac triple agent, she had been kidnapped by her brother Roman (Luke Mitchell). Dude, seriously? Have you ever heard of a blindfold?

Now Jane wakes to find herself in the Sandstorm safe house where Sheppard ( Michelle Hurd) has a series of probing questions to ask her adopted daughter.

Not only that but the episode will see Jane tasked with carrying out an assassination mission to prove her loyalty … or suffer the consequences. We’re just spitballing here, but what if Roman tracked down Cade, and Jane’s mission is to take him out?

Cade is far from innocent, but he’s not guilty of the things Jane has been telling her family. He didn’t kill Oscar, and he certainly didn’t hold Jane captive and torture her for months. (That was the US government.)

If it comes to it, will Jane be able to carry through with his murder at the hands of Sandstorm? And if she doesn’t, will this prove to Roman (who has been fiercely in her corner until now) that perhaps Jane is not on their side after all?

One thing’s certain. There’s a lot of doubt to go around this week. Jane is even doubting herself, and her killer instinct, in one of our three sneak peek clips from tonight’s episode below.

All of that tension makes Weller’s assignment — eliminating an impending bomb threat — seem like a walk in the park.

The “Hero Fears Imminent Rot” episode of Blindspot airs Wednesday Sept. 28 on NBC.
