Well, I guess we don’t have to worry about Alexandria anymore. The introduction of this character was definitely one which kept fans guessing as to her true nature, with most assuming she was working for someone out for Mayfair. However, it seems as though she was just an innocent bystander, and ended up being yet another person killed because of her connection to Mayfair. Based on the warning Mayfair received however, it seems as though the person on the other end of that line doesn’t realize it’s Reade and Zapata looking into Carter – not Mayfair – so a seemingly innocent case for Reade and Zapata could have far reaching consequences.

Since it’s a safe bet that it’s Oscar’s team on the other end of that phone call, it looks as though we’re heading towards a showdown between Weller’s team and Oscar’s team, with Jane squarely in the middle. She’s helping Oscar to save Weller, but will that matter to Weller? Based on his character traits, he’ll likely react with anger, regardless of Jane’s growing mistrust of Oscar.

The bright spot of the episode however, was once again owned by Patterson, who killed it with her one-liners. “Sorry I blew up your house” has got to rank as one of the top quotes of the week. Her easy banter with Dr. Borden was fantastic to see, and hopefully with this extra character development of Borden, we’ll see more of their growing friendship, which fans on Twitter are already trying to find a ship name for.

And speaking of growing friendships, it looks like Jane and Weller are once again starting to grow closer. Is Jane really over Oscar? She’s suspicious of him, but is she getting close to Weller because she was asked? She was wearing the necklace Weller gave her for her birthday, so she could genuinely be allowing her feelings for Weller to resurface. Regardless, their one on one conversations are always fun to watch, and it’s hard to tell who to root for – Joscar, or Jeller.

Finally, once again, we were left with no resolution or any clues at all to Operation Daylight. And what happened to the DNA found in Jane’s tooth? With only three episodes left, hopefully we’ll get answers soon, because it’s been so long since we’ve gotten anything, I’ve lost interest in that particular storyline.
