Beckett is going back to the Academy in Castle’s March 21 episode.

“Felis Ad Mortem” (the old NYPD motto translated from the Latin meaning “Faithful Until Death”) will see Beckett and the team returning to their old training ground to investigate, following the death of a recruit officer at the NYPD Academy.

Meanwhile, Castle must reckon with a decision with profound consequences for him and Beckett.

In the following sneak peek clip (thanks ABC!) Beckett puts a frustrated young recruit through her paces.

Is the more experienced Captain simply lending a hand, or is she trying to learn more about this particular would-be suspect?

Either way, it’s great to see Badass Beckett come out to play.

Castle’s “Felis Ad Mortem” airs Monday March 21 (10:01-11:00 p.m. EDT), on ABC.
