The CW Sets New Premieres, Moves DYNASTY to Fridays

By on January 8, 2018

With an already busy lineup, the CW is making cuts in order to make room for returning originals and a couple of new shows this mid-season.

As part of the new schedule, the underperforming Dynasty will make a move to Friday nights from March 9, where it will take over the (by then) vacated 8 pm Crazy Ex-Girlfriend slot.

New series Life Sentence, starring Lucy Hale and premiering March 7, will take over Dynasty’s Wednesday at 9 pm slot.

Valor, which did not receive a back order for more episodes will be replaced by the returning iZombie, Mondays at 9 pm from February 26.

Starting April 20, Dynasty will be joined by The Originals, returning for its final season following the April 13 season finale of Jane the Virgin.

As per a previous announcement, new superhero series Black Lightning will team up with The Flash on Tuesday nights from Jan. 16.

Following Black Lightning’s run, its Tuesday 9 PM time slot will be taken by Season 5 of The 100, premiering April 24.

Legends of Tomorrow will time-share with Supergirl in the Monday at 8 pm slot (Supergirl returns on January 15, but Legends then takes over on February 12 while Supergirl is on hiatus until its final April 16-June 18 homerun).

Got all that?
