A Bad Week For Drake Ends in a Bizarre & Hostile Interview With Jiminy Glick

By on June 8, 2016

We’ve heard some eye-watering interview questions in our time, but nothing comes close to this overly personal, excruciatingly embarrassing, and frankly hostile interview by Jiminy Glick (aka Martin Short of NBC’s Maya and Marty) as the Celebrity Sensations interviewer hits Rapper Drake with a series of progressively outrageous questions about his personal life and career.

“I’m sitting here with an absolute living legend of Rapsterdom,” gushes Glick, before steering the interview on a sharp left turn to crazyyown. “This is so much fun for me,” he explains. “Because normally I interview celebrities, so this is going to be a change.”

Short — we mean Glick — then goes on to poke fun at Drake’s real name, religion, nationality and penis size! (Yes he went there.)

“When an interview is supposed to go well, which this was,” laments Glick, “I invite my guests to have a ritualistic steam bath with me.”

“I think that I have … other obligations,” the “Take Care” singer replied before being cut off by Glick. “You don’t want to be naked with another man —  a man who might be better endowed.”

“It’s not a competition,” offers Drake.

“I think it would be,” replies Glick.

Drake is clearly having a bad week. The singer also was the subject of an internet death hoax this week, with rumors of his alleged demise gaining traction on Monday following the creation of an ‘R.I.P. Drake’ Facebook page which attracted nearly one million likes before being discredited.

“He joins the long list of celebrities who have been victimized by this hoax,” said the singer’s reps, June 7th.  “He’s still alive and well. Stop believing what you see on the internet.”

In the meantime, it looks like Drake may have to wait a little longer for the ground to open up and swallow him.

Jiminy Glick will be back to terrorize his guests as part of NBC’s Maya and Marty comedy show Tuesdays 10/9c on NBC.
