THE FLASH: Barry and Iris' Hard Luck Encounter in

This week's episode of The Flash, "Luck Be a Lady," might as easily have been titled "A Litany of Disasters," as the hour sees calamity, disappointment, rejection and heartache befall each member of Team Flash.

And that's all before an unpredictable Meta with the ability to twist luck to her advantage -- and everyone's else's disadvantage -- starts making waves in Central city.

The action kicks off when Barry and the gang become acquainted with Becky Sharpe (guest star Sugar-Lyn Beard), aka DC character Hazard, who has the ability to give those in her near vicinity bad luck, while she in turn reaps the benefits of good luck.

With Harry Wells in tow, Barry attempts to take down Hazard without becoming a victim to her special brand of bad luck.

We've seen the episode a little early thanks to our friends at the CW, and have a small collection of teasers to share with you. As usual, we avoid outright character and plot point reveals that might ruin your enjoyment of the live event. That said, proceed with a tiny modicum of caution anyway, as one man's teeny tiny teaser can, for the next guy, feel like a giant flaming spoiler.

Shock Arrival

Going hand in glove with this week’s surprise departure comes news of a new arrival — in baby form.

That’s right, a certain someone is pregnant, and the closing seconds of the episode reveal our stunned dad-to-be too shocked to respond to the news.

And although we’d love to be the first to announce news of a WestAllen baby, that’s definitely not the case this time around. (Although we have definitely not forgotten Barry’s series premiere line “We’re gonna need more diapers!”)
