HBO’s Latest Trailer For WESTWORLD is Kinda Intense

By on August 28, 2016

This latest trailer for HBO’s Westworld has been voted M for Mature!

The new series, based on Michael Crichton’s 1973 cult movie of the same name debuts October 2, and promises to up the ante with sex, violence and artificial intelligence run amok.

Westworld is described as a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the evolution of sin, exploring a world in which every human appetite, no matter how noble or depraved, can be indulged.

The adult nature of the series first came to the attention of interested fans when Deadline posted an excerpt from a casting call for extras on the show.

“This document serves to inform you that this project will require you to be fully nude and/or witness others fully nude and participate in graphic sexual situations. By accepting this Project assignment, you may be required to do any of the following: appear fully nude; wear a pubic hair patch; perform genital-to-genital touching; have your genitals painted; simulate oral sex with hand-to-genital touching; contort to form a table-like shape while being fully nude; pose on all fours while others who are fully nude ride on your back; ride on someone’s back while you are both fully nude; and other assorted acts the Project may require. The Project will also include language and sexual situations that some may consider personally objectionable or uncomfortable.”

Sounds about right!

While HBO — home to Game of Thrones — can not be accused of shying away from explicit material, we’ve no doubt the series, bursting with Hollywood talent, will impress on the grounds of story and characterisation. (You can catch a rundown of some of the characters you’ll meet when the series premieres HERE.)

The one-hour drama begins off its ten-episode season Sunday, Oct. 2 at 9:00 p.m. (ET/PT) on HBO.
