Holiday Guide 2015: Cookies & Sweet Treats
Every year at this time I find myself recruited to bake something for a family event or social gathering, but I really don’t mind.
Over the years, I’ve created a recipe arsenal with plenty of go-to treats for those last minute needs.
During the holidays I always try to keep some kind of baked good around for people to enjoy. Admittedly, it’s not great for the waistline but it is great for impressing people — not to mention those stress relieving qualities baking brings. Try it, you’ll thank me.
Whether it’s a cookie exchange, a no bake vegan get together or just your mother bothering you for Russian tea cakes every day until Christmas (everyone’s Mom does that right?), there’s always a need for a sweet treat at this time of year.
Below you’ll find a selection of my favorite cookies and sweet treats recipes that will not only suit any level of baker but will be sure to impress every class party, cookie exchange, or guest that pops in over the Holiday season.*
