Release News on 23rd James Bond Film, ‘Skyfall’

By on November 3, 2011

Daniel Craig will return as agent 007 in ‘Skyfall,’ director Sam Mendes announced at the film’s first press launch in London today.  Judi Dench, Ralph Fiennes, and Albert Finney co-star, and Javier Bardem will be the newest Bond villain when the film is released in the fall of 2012.

Sean Connery originated the role of James Bond in 1962 with the release of Dr. No, which makes 2012 the 50th anniversary of the highly successful super agent franchise. The next year will most likely be a Bond merchandizing extravaganza as cash-strapped studio MGM attempts to recover their investment.  Sony Pictures is distributing and co-financing the film, which was described by Mendes as a classic Bond movie, with “a lot of action.”
