Will Harrison Ford Join Asa Butterfield in ‘Ender’s Game’ Film?

By on November 30, 2011

Almost immediately after Hugo star Asa Butterfield tweeted that he has been signed to play the title character Ender Wiggin in the big screen adaptation of the SF classic Ender’s Game from Summit Entertainment, Variety reports the producers are trying to get Harrison Ford for the role of Colonel Hyrum Graff. The film, based on Orson Scott Card’s iconic Nebula and Hugo Award winning novel, is being directed by Gavin Wood (X-Men Origins: Wolverine) and produced by Star Trek‘s Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman, and is slated for release in March of 2013.

The many rabid fans of Card’s classic novel will no doubt have a lot to say about the casting for the film, which has been rumored to be in and out of development for at least twenty years. Who will be selected to play Ender’s siblings, Peter and Valentine, or his mentor Mazer Rackham? Let the speculation begin!
