Ghost Rider joined the panel lineup on New York Comic Con’s Main Stage Friday night.

Fans were treated to a panel discussion moderated by Jeph Loeb (Executive Vice President of Marvel Television) where series stars Clark Gregg, Chloe Bennet and Gabriel Luna dished on the season ahead.

In addition, a new episode, “Uprising,” was shown exclusively to the crowd before it’s October 11th airing. In keeping with Loeb’s wishes (who does not want anything spoiled), I will only note that it’s a fun, action-packed episode that’s sure to appeal to long-term fans,

Here are some highlights from the panel, including an interesting answer to a question regarding a possible crossover/guest appearance with another hot Marvel franchise.

According to Loeb, bringing in Ghost Rider (Luna) was no an easy task. “It’s always a challenge bringing in a new person, like Luna.”

The effects for the Ghost Rider require Luna to sport a CGI getup that resembles “a nun’s habit with Christmas lights.” Gregg chimes in that there was a nervousness as to how it would all come together for the finished version.

“I’ll be honest, I saw the movies,” said Gregg referencing reference Nicolas Cage’s big screen turn as the flaming skull.  “No offense, I just was nervous. I was nervous about it.”

However when he saw it in the premiere Gregg admits he felt the effects lived up to all the effort.

Bennet feels Daisy has been evolving throughout the show. And thinks its really fun for her character to be in a dark place currently.

“This is definitely her season of rebellion and taking time to figure out what exactly she is feeling.”

As for Coulson, Gregg discussed briefly of his character making the transition from Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. to being a field agent, which he feels is where his character needs to be as he did not like sending people into danger.

A fan asked Chloe if Daisy and Robbie might get romantically involved this season, which she shot down. She was also asked if maybe Coulson and Daisy can hook-up, which she also shot down. Bennet really likes the relationship between Daisy and Coulson. She also states that Gregg has been a mentor to her on and off screen.

Asked if the SHIELD writers have been paying attention to the events happening in Hell’s Kitchen (referring to Marvel’s Netflix shows, and Daredevil, in particular). Loeb teased, “It’s a fair question, and the fair answer is stay tuned.”

In addition to the panel/Q & A and episode viewing, fans were treated to a funny clip of Gregg, Bennet and Luna cosplaying as Marvel characters, Ghost Rider, Rocket Raccoon and Star-Lord walking around NYCC, interviewing/asking fans if they watch the show and then surprising them when they revealed their true selves.

Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD continues Tuesdays on ABC.
