The Final Battle Begins: GRIMM Season 6 Exclusive Scoop
Nick Burkhardt’s troubles are only just beginning in Grimm‘s season 6 premiere.
Ok, let’s recap for a moment. When we last checked in on Nick and his friends, he was surrounded by Black Claw operatives, and facing death at the hands of Bonaparte’s men, led by captain Renard.
Knowing he was making a last stand, Nick sent Monroe, Rosalee, Hank, Wu, Eve and Trubel into the tunnels, only to lock the door against their return. (In fairness, everyone should probably have given some thought about how they were going to get out of the tunnels later, but I digress.)
While Nick fought on bravely alone, he was no match for Black Claw’s numbers, and was eventually shot to death. However, still in possession of the mysterious healing stick, Nick was unexpectedly resurrected moments later and managed to turn the tide in his favor.
Enter Renard and Black Claw leader Bonaparte, and a boss fight was looking imminent. However, Renard and Adalind’s daughter, Diana, pretty peeved about those bruises on her mother’s neck, intervened, and using a creepy Voodoo dolly, compelled her father to kill Bonaparte instead.
So what’s next for Nick, Renard and everyone stumbling around blindly in those tunnels? What about the vast numbers of dead Wesen all over Portland? Is there anyone left alive at HW? Can Nick help Adalind escape her twisted fairytale engagement? What’s going on with Eve, and when can we squee over the prospect of a Monrosalee baby?
Read on for more scoop on the January 6th premiere.
“I’m Not Sure”
The Season 6 premiere “Fugitive” picks up just seconds after Renard’s shocking actions.
We love scenes between David Giuntoli and Sasha Roiz, but our advice here is to savor this one because we’re not sure we’re going to see Nick and Renard interacting so intimately again this season for reasons that will be explained in the episode.
It’s a great moment for both characters (and for fans) in which to take a moment to consider what just happened. Nick should be dead. Renard should not have killed his boss.
What just happened?
The answer is a resounding “I’m not sure” all around.
