The very first episode of CBS’ upcoming military drama SEAL Team has both a name, “Tip of the Spear,” and a premiere date of Sept. 27.

And if you’ve read our honest review of the pilot, and seen our photos from the first handful of episodes, you’re already pretty much up on everything this new show has to offer.

Of course, what would make things even neater would be the addition of some sneak peeks ahead of the premiere.

Say no more, fam. We’ve got three new clips* from the premiere episode to share with you, below.

The series follows SEAL Team Six, the most elite unit of Navy SEALs. Together, they must navigate their professional and personal lives as they train, plan and execute dangerous, high stakes missions.

Jason Hayes (David Boreanaz) is the respected, intense leader of the Tier One team whose home life has suffered as a result of his extensive warrior’s existence. His team includes his trusted confidant, Ray (Neil Brown Jr.), the longest-tenured operator with whom Jason shares an ingrained shorthand, and Sonny (A.J. Buckley), an exceptional, loyal soldier with a checkered past who still combats self-destructive tendencies.

Undergoing additional rigorous training in the hope of joining Hayes’ select unit is Clay Spenser (Max Thieriot), a young, multi-lingual second generation SEAL with insatiable drive and dedication. Vital to the team’s success are CIA analyst Mandy Ellis (Jessica Paré) as Mandy, who has sacrificed everything in her drive to root out evil and take down terrorists, and Diaz (Toni Trucks), a no-nonsense, take-charge logistics officer and unofficial den mother responsible for outfitting the team with the necessary gear for each mission.

Deployed on clandestine missions worldwide at a moment’s notice, and knowing the toll it takes on them and their families, this tight-knit SEAL team displays unwavering patriotism and fearless dedication even in the face of overwhelming odds.

Don’t tell the other networks, but of the 4 military dramas on offer this fall (let’s not name names or hurt feelings) SEAL Team is the one that will keep you glued to the edge of your seat while simultaneously wiping away your tears. It’s got a little bit of everything in there, and the episodes we’ve seen to date are well put together. And don’t get us started on that perfect cast!
