SHERLOCK Season 4 Official Trailer: Something’s Coming
Something’s coming, but we’re not quite sure whether it’s James Moriarty or someone altogether more sinister.
One of the hightlights to emerge from San Diego Comic Con this year is this new teaser trailer for Sherlock’s fourth season.
Teasing that “everything they know will be tested” the trailer sees a very different Sherlock (Benedict Cumberbatch) to the one we’re used to – disheveled (for real this time), uncertain and at times completely out of his depth.
Aside from a number of spectacular action sequences featuring car chases, fight scenes and explosions, we’re also interested to see Mrs Hudson evicting Sherlock’s brother Mycroft (Mark Gatiss) from the flat at 221B Baker Street, and John’s (Martin Freeman) wife Mary (Amanda Abbingdon) going undercover on an assignment.
Of course, there’s also new season 4 villain Toby Jones who recently told RadioTimes.com “About the only thing I’m allowed to reveal is that I’m indeed a baddie. I think that even, I’d say, I’m really bad.”
Season 4 will see John and Mary preparing for parenthood when a new threat suddenly presents itself.
While there is no date yet set for the premiere, the three episode instalment is likely to kick off on New Year’s Day on BBC1.
