Drop Dead Diva Boss Teases Shock Event Ahead of Sunday’s “One Shot”

Do we only get one shot at true love?

And wouldn’t it be better if that lifetime commitment came with, if not a guarantee, then at the very least some sort of love contract?

That’s the topic under discussion in Sunday’s Drop Dead Diva, an episode which Executive Producer Josh Berman tells ScreenSpy “the writers worked on for a long time to get just right.”

Airing October 20th, “One Shot” sees Grayson representing a man who hires him to draft an unusual “Love Contract” between him and his new wife.

While Grayson’s latest client provides a puzzling conundrum, Owen represents a teen-star whose reputation is on the line when a risqué photo is taken of her, and Jane finds herself defending a woman about to enter the witness protection program after she’s caught in the middle of a drugs bust.

Um … dangerous much, Jane?

“I’m so proud of the episode,” says Berman, who goes on to reveal an exclusive spoiler. “There will be an attack made on one of our lawyers and the ramifications of the attack could change everything.”

“One Shot” guest stars Richard Kind (Spin City, Stargate Atlantis) and Lindsay Pearce (The Glee Project).

For those who need to get up to speed with recent events on the show, Lifetime is airing a special mini-marathon from 10:00 am-1:00 pm on Sunday, comprising the last 3 episodes. (We’ll be watching.)
