Castle returns on Monday February 23 with “The Wrong Stuff,” an episode in which Rick and Kate become involved in one of their most unorthodox cases to date.

When a trainee astronaut is murdered inside a sealed and thoroughly monitored Mars simulation, finding the killer seems an almost impossible job.

Coupled with Rick’s enthusiasm for all things space related, “The Wrong Stuff” presents a fun-filled, tongue in cheek hour that gives its audience room to breathe following a couple of intense previous episodes.

We’ve seen this installment a little earlier than most, thanks to our friends at ABC, and have 5 tidbits to share with you below.

As always, our aim is not to outright spoil you with plot points that would otherwise ruin your enjoyment of the show (we want you to enjoy it as much as we did), so feel free to boldly go where several of our previous Castle articles have gone before. (Ok, that last analogy kind of got away from us a little.)

Here then are 5 things you might like to know before Castle’s next episode hits our screens on Monday.

One Giant Mystery For Mankind

For an essentially light-hearted and comedic episode, “The Wrong Stuff” serves up one of Castle’s more intriguing murder mysteries to date.

When a body is discovered in the simulated Martian dust of a sealed and closely monitored environment, with no footprints nearby, no DNA to trace, and no obvious suspects, Rick and Kate are temporarily stumped.

Finding out ‘whodunnit’ this week will take all their smarts, a little off-limits investigation, a close call and a lot of imagination.

Pride yourself in guessing the killer before Rick and Kate? This one left us stumped until the last moment.
