Terra Nova, Steven Spielberg’s time travel dinosaur adventure drama, has officially been canceled by Fox. Despite its enormous budget and a huge amount of promotion, the show sadly never lived up to the hype, and has struggled with low ratings throughout a twelve episode first season.

There is a possibility that the producers may try to shop a second season to a different network, but chances are slim that there will be any takers, given the high expense and risk of continued low ratings (which are apparently as deadly to dinosaurs as a comet strike).

and even better to quote EW

“Terra Nova will likely end up the highest-rated cancelled show of the season. It averaged 10.1 million viewers and a 3.6 adult demo rating once you add in a week of DVR playback.”

fox has definitely won over their show killer title with this one.
