HAVEN: 5 Things to Know About “Just Passing Through”
With just 7 episodes remaining in which to tie off an epic 5 seasons of Syfy’s Haven, it stands to reason we’re going to see some pretty big developments and reveals over the course of the next few weeks.
Thursday’s “Just Passing Through” is one such episode. Syfy’s typically terse log lines tease that the episode will see Nathan and Vince traveling back in time to 1983 to find out how Croatoan found a way into Haven in the first place. We can reveal that it’s an episode which provides answers to some series-long mysteries and digs deep into the mythology of the show in doing so.
Expect more on the Colorado Kid, the void, the Teagues brothers (including Dave’s relationship with Croatoan) and a lot more. We’ll also get to learn how Duke’s adventures outside of Haven this season will tie in to episodes ahead. All this and some pretty satisfying emotional beats too.
We’ve seen the episode a little early, thanks to our friends at Syfy, and have prepared a small collection of teasers for you. While we don’t consider the following to be spoilers (we make it a point never to divulge major plot points or character developments), we are always sensitive to the fact that one’s man’s teaser is another man’s spoiler. Bearing this in mind, we urge readers to exercise the same level of caution you usually exercise with regard to these types of articles elsewhere on the web.
In the meantime, here are 5 things you might like to know about Thursday’s “Just Passing Through.”
Dave is the Culprit … and the Key
Last week’s “Perditus” ended with a rather abrupt cliffhanger.
Dave and Vince tracked down Charlotte’s go bag, only to find it stashed under a desk at the Haven Herald.
How did it get there? It looks like Dave put it there himself after he murdered Audrey’s mother.
“Just Passing Through” picks up on that development in the opening minutes, revealing to Dave, Vince and everyone else what the audience already knows to be true. Croatoan has been ‘possessing’ Dave and carrying out the murders by using his body.
However, Dave’s story doesn’t quite end here. We’ll get to see it play out in full before the credits roll.
