Following on from the recent announcement that Friends alum Lisa Kudrow will make a recurring guest appearance on ABC’s Scandal, comes the news that Jack Coleman (Burn Notice, Heroes) will also recur on the show this season.

According to Deadline, Coleman will play Daniel Douglas, a charming Southerner with ties to one of the Gladiators.

Meanwhile, Warehouse 13 vet Joanne Kelly will recur on CBS’ new drama Hostages. Kelly will take on the role of Vanessa, “an ambitious ambassador” and the sister of the First Lady, played by Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio.

Also, FOX has given a straight to series green-light for new drama Gotham, based on Batman character Commissioner James Gordon. The origin story from The Mentalist creator Bruno Heller, will set out to tell the origin story of Jim Gordon – before he was commissioner – along with a host of Gotham City’s most colorful villains.

FOX is also in the process of adapting Alan Moore’s League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, which received a put-pilot commitment in July.
