JoAnna Garcia to Make a Splash on ABC’s Once Upon a Time

After weeks of speculation, the role of Ariel, the Little Mermaid has finally been filled on ABC’s Once Upon a Time.

JoAnna Garcia is set to fill the shoes (tail?) of the iconic Disney princess when Once Upon a Time returns for a third season on Sunday September 29th on ABC.

Garcia, who is known for her roles on Animal Practice and Reba, as well as recurring appearances in Royal Pains and Better With You, is slated to appear in two episodes of the hit fantasy drama, for the time being.

Garcia’s casting announcement comes just shortly after the news that New Zealnd actress Rose McIver has landed the role as the iconic fairlytale character Tinkerbell. McIver set to guest in multiple episodes of the fantasy drama’s third season. Her character Tinkerbell is set to surprise audiences with an unusual connection to another character this season.

Garcia reacted to her casting announcement by tweeting her excitement at playing such an iconic Disney character.
