After a brief stint on ABC’s Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD, Lucy Lawless is set to return to Starz.

The Spartacus alumna has joined Bruce Campbell’s 10-episode Ash Vs Evil Dead, a half-hour series which forms a sequel to the cult horror film franchise The Evil Dead.

According to reports, Lawless will take on the role of Ruby, a mysterious figure who is myopic in her quest to hunt down the source of the recent Evil outbreaks. The only problem is that she believes that Ash (Campbell) is the cause of it all.

Husband Sam Rami (Xena: Warrior Princess, Spartacus) who co-wrote the pilot along with Ivan Raimi, Craig DiGregorio and Tom Spezialy, will take on directorial duties for the pilot episode.

Raimi, Rob Tapert and Campbell will executive produce along with Craig DiGregorio who will also serve as showrunner.

Lawless joins the previously announced Campbell, Ray Santiago, Dana DeLorenzo and Jill Marie Jones.
