Per THR, Secret circle alum Chirs Zylka has signed on to NBC’s upcoming pulp thriller Bloodline.

The pilot, written by David Graziano and directed by Peter King, stars Skyler Samuels (The Nine Lives Of Chloe King) as Bird Benson, a young teen warrior, who through an accident of birth, finds herself thrust into an epic battle between two warring warrior factions.

Described as a pulpy, irreverent and highly stylized, Bloodline is set, not in a fantasy world, but against the backdrop of modern suburbia.

Zylka (The Secret Circle, The Amazing Spider-man) will play Troy, a young man who falls for Bird. Troy was taken from his parents at a young age and forced to undergo training at the “Agoge” – a modern day recreation of a Spartan military facility which prepares boys for a life of battle.

The news follows the recent announcement this week that fellow Circle alum Grey Damon has signed on to the CW’s upcoming Oxygen alien drama.
