Sleepy Hollow’s showrunner Mark Goffman has stepped down ahead of a potential third season, it was revealed today.

TV Line reported that the search is now underway for a potential candidate to helm the FOX series should it be picked up for a third season.

Goffman steered Sleepy Hollow through both a successful freshman season, and a sophomore season that served to divide fans on several fronts.

Of course, with no word yet on a renewal, Goffman’s departure might not be significant news.

Meanwhile, Goffman has made the move to CBS TV Studios, where he has signed a two-year deal to supervise and develop new projects.

More as we have it.
