For those of you who may not have heard the news, AMC has revived The Killing.

The moody crime drama will return to screens this summer on Sunday, June 2 at 8/7c with a two hour season premiere.

The show, which was pulled last year after two seasons, made waves when it was revived again earlier this year following a new agreement between AMC, Fox TV Studios and Netflix.

The series, which wrapped the ‘who killed Rosie Larsen’ storyline at the end of season 2 will kick off a new 13-episode story arc which sees Sarah Linden (Mireille Enos) reunited with Stephen Holder (Joel Kinnaman) a full year after the Larsen investigation.

Linden becomes drawn into Holder’s search for a runaway girl when a string of murders connects to one of her previous investigations.

Joining the cast this season are newcomers Peter Sarsgaard, Elias Koteas and Amy Seimetz.
