There’s no denying Mary Margaret (Ginnifer Goodwin) went to a very dark place in last night’s Once Upon a Time.

“The Miller’s Daughter” saw a desperate Mary Margaret making the decision to use the dark-magic candle that would end Cora’s (Barbara Hershey) life once her heart was restored to her body.

Are we alone in thinking it’s a little convenient that she should just happen to stumble across that candle in a cupboard all these years later? Mr Gold is still pulling strings, we’re convinced.

Not only that, but Mary Margaret successfully convinced Regina to be the one to unwittingly deal the killing blow to her own mother. That took some smarts and cunning from the woman we’ve all come to assume is as pure as snow.

However now Mary Margaret must face up to her actions … and the consequences in Sunday’s “Welcome to Storybrooke.”

It looks like Regina is on the war path and nothing but Snow’s death will appease her now.

We’re guessing that Thanksgiving dinner is probably off this year.
