Ep 6/13
Saturday 10 November
8.20-9.05am
BBC ONE

When Gwen is snatched from Camelot without warning, Merlin knows there can be only one person responsible: Morgana. Arthur is determined to rescue his Queen – but it’s not going to be easy, for she is locked in the Dark Tower, a place that haunts the dreams of men.

Arthur and his Knights must embark on a quest like no other, battling through a landscape riddled with hidden dangers, perilous obstacles and magical beings. As they near their goal, Merlin’s sense of dread reaches breaking point. What twisted game is Morgana playing? And more importantly, just what is the final test that awaits them in the tower?

Colin Morgan is Merlin, Bradley James is Arthur, Angel Coulby is Gwen, Katie McGrath is Morgana, Richard Wilson is Gaius and John Hurt is the voice of the Great Dragon. Tom Hopper, Rupert Young, Eoin Macken and Adetomiwa Edun return as The Knights of the Round Table.

YESSS!! It’s about time. We saw the King Arthur and Queen Guinevere have some full interaction and a full story about them. I cannot wait. It’s going to be amazing. Bradley and Angel have such amazing chemistry it felt so wasteful not seeing them interact in 5×01-5×02 and barely in 5×03. But good things come to those who wait, and boy have I been waiting. Finally, The Pendragons are going be to on our screens.

“Arthur is determined to rescue his Queen” –
Heart stopping, jaw dropping, mind messing, oozing with chemistry MAGIC! Can’t wait for 5×06!

I just love all of Angel’s scenes. She’s great!

I will say “another episode about Arthur” again… Too much Arthur! I hope we’ll get more scenes of Merlin with Gwen! It’s so evident Gwen has more chemistry with Merlin than with Arthur. I am at a point I can’t stand Arthur’s behaviour at all. I way prefer Merlin-centric episodes!

Sorry forgot to add that I hope the writers & producers of the show remember that their show is about Merlin, and not about Arthur/Gwen. Series 5 has to refocus more on the hero of their show and stop to make it all about Arthur. This show is entitled Merlin for one reason, right? I hope series 5 will concentrate more on Merlin’s own stories very soon…
