Super Bowl 2013 Blackout

When the New Orleans’ Louisiana Superdome suddenly lost power less than two minutes into the third quarter of Yesterday’s Super Bowl, host Network CBS may have been concerned, but over at NBC, there was cause for some cheeky fun.

@NBCRevolution, the official Twitter account for NBC’s futuristic show Revolution, took advantage of the lights out to remind fans about the show’s return on March 25th with the following tweet. “Just a taste of what’s to come on March 25. #LightsOut #Revolution.”

Revolution is set in a dystopian future American society in which electricity and other conventional forms of power have been lost following a catastrophic global blackout.

Later, a second tweet suggested that if the stadium had access to one of Rachel’s electricity pendants – a device used on the show – the blackout might have been averted.

Check both tweets below.

Revolution returns to screens March 25th 2013.
