We don’t know about you, but we’re still catching our collective breath following NBC Grimm’s season 4 finale.

The show returns on October 30 for a fifth run, and if this moody new vengeance-promising poster that landed on the ScreenSpy news desk this morning is anything to go by, we’re definitely going to see a darker side of Nick Burkhardt this season.

NBC has teased that in the wake of his mother’s beheading and Juliette’s (Bitsie Tulloch) death, things will never be more chaotic for Nick (David Giuntoli).

Having lost so much, he will be forced to dig deep and decide what type of person he wants to be, while also coming to grips with fathering a child with his once sworn enemy, Adalind (Claire Coffee).

On top of all this, the season ahead will see crime in Portland continue to rise, with even more dangerous Wesen coming out of the shadows and making their way to the great Northwest. A Wesen uprising is on the horizon and everyone will need to be prepared.

Grimm also stars Russell Hornsby, Silas Weir Mitchell, Sasha Roiz, Reggie Lee and Bree Turner.
