Rumor of the Day: Stargate’s David Hewlett Secret Circle Bound?

By on November 4, 2011

Could Stargate‘s David Hewlett be bound for a guest stint on the CW’s The Secret Circle?

It’s no secret that Hewlett (Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Splice, A Dog’s Breakfast) has affection for the witchy drama. Recent tweets praise both the show and Executive Producer Andrew Miller.

Finally chatted with witchbitch @MillerLoLife ruler of the #SecretCircle! Been missing him! Damn his big brain for delivering such great TV!”

“Guilty lunchtime pleasure…catching up on #SecretCircle episodes for tonight!”

In an episode related game of Truth or Dare over Twitter yesterday, a fan asked Miller if there was any actor he really wanted to have on the show.

David Hewlett,” answered Miller.

Hewlett played the snarktastic but essentially lovable Doctor Rodney McKay on Stargate Atlantis for 5 years, but he is capable of turning on the sinister at will. Check out Cube, Treed Murray and some of his earlier horror filmography for proof of how deliciously dark he can be.

Hewlett’s potential involvement with witchy drama The Secret Circle is mere conjecture at this point but there’s no denying he would be a perfect fit.

David Hewlett and Andrew Miller have a long history together, along with Vincenzo Natali, who directed them in “Cube” and “Nothing”. It would be great for them to work together again!
