Secret Circle, Vampire Diaries Hiatus Looms

By on October 30, 2011

Mark your calendars because after November 10th there will be a lot less Vampires and Witches on our screens.  The CW’s The Vampire Diaries and The Secret Circle are both taking a mid-season leave of absence until 2012.

The Vampire Diaries ends it’s mid-season run with episode 9, Homecoming, which is rumored to be a big one for Stefan fans.

The Secret Circle meanwhile also rings out the year with its ninth episode Balcoin, which sees a long overdue power-shift in Charles and Dawn’s relationship.

Both shows return for the remainder of their seasonal run in 2012. Both The Vampire Diaries and The Secret Circle continue to be the CW’s number one and two highest rated shows.

Aaaaah, it’s killing me. Only two more episodes left of The Vampire Diaries and The Secret Circle before mid-season finale. It’s not enough! This hiatus will feel like a really really long time given how much I love both of these shows. I hope they both go out with a bang (making people just eagerly await their return) and returns with an explosion (making the wait at least seem worthwhile).

Couldn’t agree more. When are they coming back? The article says 2012, but when?

No confirmed date has been announced other than 2012. More than likely, it’ll be back within the month of January though.
