Source Code, the scifi techno thriller starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Michelle Monaghan, is being adapted for the small screen, it emerged earlier today.

The film’s producer Mark Gordon worked with ABC Studios to create a scifi action/procedural centering on three former federal agents who are part of a top-secret program.  The show will see the agents using ‘Source Code’ technology to access the memories of key people involved in tragic events in order to better understand how the event occurred and how to prevent further crimes.

The latest news is that CBS has bought the show, making this ABC Studio’s first off-network sale of the development season.

Source Code will be produced by Gordon, with Steve Maeda (Lie to Me) on writing duties.

I really enjoyed the movie but I don’t know if it will stand up as a weekly show. Maybe they can get the Flan as one of the lead guys.
