Superbowl XLVI Highlights (The Commercials, At Least)
Although millions will be tuning in to watch a football game today, there are a good number of us who find the most entertaining thing about Superbowl Sunday to be the wildly creative advertisements aired that day. Every year, companies spend absurd amounts of money to create these tiny masterpieces, which in the past were shown only once, during the game. Now, thanks to the wonder of the Internet, we can view them over and over (and many of them even before gametime)!
This year’s crop of primo ads includes Matthew Broderick reprising his Ferris Bueller role for Honda; A new Star Wars-themed VW spot, and its prequel, featuring dogs (no, it makes no sense to us, either); Some perfectly insane stunts performed with a Chevy Sonic; Doritos’ hilarious iPhone Siri parody; Kim Kardashian replaced by a French Bulldog in a new Skechers shoe promo (sneak peek shown here); and, it’s rumored, a possible new spokesman for Priceline, after William Shatner’s famed negotiator is killed in a fiery bus crash. Enjoy!
