The Geek’s Guide To Fall TV’s Hottest Men 2011

Winter is coming! That must mean Fall TV is too. As the networks gear up to bring a slew of brand new shows to our living rooms, we predict which Hotties will be keeping us glued to our screens each week. This year genre fans are really spoiled for choice with witches, fairytale princes, dinosaur hunters, gunslingers and more.

In no particular order, we present the Geek’s Guide to Fall TV’s Hottest Men.

NUMBER ONE: JOSH DALLAS

Josh Dallas:Prince Charming

Who is he? Josh Dallas

What is he known for? Newcomer Josh played Fandral in Kenneth Brannagh’s recent Thor movie.

What show is he on? Once Upon a Time (ABC)

Why will we like him? If you’re searching for Prince Charming then look no further because Josh plays him in ABC’s upcoming Once Upon A Time.

The story centers on a woman with a troubled past who is drawn into a small town in Maine where the magic and mystery of Fairy Tales are real.

Banished from his mythical land and suffering from amnesia, we expect Charming to be adorably lost and confused.

NUMBER TWO: RAMON RODRIGUEZ

Ramon is the new Bosley. No Really!

Who is he? Ramon Rodriguez

What is he known for? Battle Los Angeles, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, The Taking of Pellham 123.

What show is he on? Charlie’s Angels (ABC)

Why will we like him?  Ramon is the new Bosley in the Charlie’s Angels reboot from ABC. He was specifically recruited by executive producer Drew Barrymore for the part. The first season promises to shed light on Boz’s bad boy past.

They are allowing me to really create this character, which to me couldn’t be more exciting,” says Rodriguez. “With Bosley, I know that in the past he’s kind of been comical and this and that. I’m going to thread in some heart and some seriousness as well, in addition to some of the light moments. I think just by the casting that it shows that they’re going in a different direction with Bosley.”

Bosley never looked so good. We’re sold!

NUMBER THREE: GALE HAROLD

Gale Harold is The Big Bad

Who is he? Gale Harold

What is he known for? Queer as Folk, Desperate Housewives, Deadwood, Hellcats

What show is he on? The Secret Circle (The CW)

Why will we like him? Gale plays the big bad on the CW’s upcoming The Secret Circle, and we are told, despite all his evil doings the audience will “come to love Gale’s character in a way that no one would ever believe when you see the pilot.”

Co-star Adam Harrington described Gale as ‘wonderfully talented’ in a recent Chevron One interview.

Oh how we love to love the bad guy. Especially when he’s played by this guy.

NUMBER FOUR: ADAM HARRINGTON

Adam Harrington: Tortured Soul

Who is he? Adam J. Harrington

What is he known for? The Ugly Truth, Passchendaele, Valentine, LA Noire

What show is he on? The Secret Circle (The CW)

Why will we like him? What? Are you blind? Just look at him! Adam plays Ethan Conant, and Charles Meade featured above, is his arch nemesis.  Meade is responsible for some bad things that have happened in Ethan’s past, and the poor guy has hit the bottle in an attempt to drown his demons.  If only Meade would leave him alone … but we secretly hope he doesn’t, and that we get to watch.

We love a tortured soul even more than a bad guy.

NUMBER FIVE: DAVID GIUNTOLI

David Giuntoli Set to Heat Up Grimm

Who is he? David Giuntoli

What is he known for? David is a reality star turned actor and we’re thankful for that because now we get to see him every week on NBC.

David made his debut on MTV Road Rules: South Pacific, and later in the MTV movie Turn The Beat Around. He has also made appearances on Veronica Mars, Ghost Whisperer and Cold Case.

What show is he on? Grimm (NBC)

Why will we like him? Just look at those eyes! David is the hottest supernatural detective to hit the screen since Supernatural‘s Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles.

 NUMBER SIX: MIDO HAMADA

We love a dinosaur hunter in uniform

Who is he? Mido Hamada

What is he known for? 24, The Path to 9/11, Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow

What show is he on? Terra Nova (Fox)

Why will we like him? Mido’s German/Eqyptian heritage gives him a distinctly middle-eastern look, which led to him being type-cast as various TV villains in the past.  On Terra Nova he plays a good guy.  In uniform.  Who fights dinosaurs.  Did I mention the uniform?

NUMBER SEVEN: ANSON MOUNT

Anson Mount is a man on a mission

Who is he? Anson Mount, or Anson Adams Mount IV, to be exact.

What is he known for? He played Britney Spears’ love interest in Crossroads (I don’t remember it either) and Jim Steele on NBC’s short-lived Conviction.  He has also guested on several genre shows including Dollhouse, Lost and Smallville.

What show is he on? Hell on Wheels (AMC)

Why will we like him? Hell on Wheels is a western from AMC set against the building of the Transcontinental Railroad. Anson plays former confederate soldier Cullen Bohannon, bent hunting down the men who  killed his wife. Even behind the scruffy beard he wears in the trailer, this man is still unspeakably handsome. There’s also something downright sexy about his blind determination that makes our pulses race.  In Cullen Bohannon’s own words “I’m willing to do just about anything.”  Thank you Mr Bohannon.  I’m jotting down a list of suggestions.

NUMBER EIGHT: PATRICK WILSON

Patrick Wilson wants to be a better man

Who is he? Patrick Wilson

What is he known for? Watchmen, Angels in America (mini-series)

What show is he on? A Gifted Man (CBS)

Why will we like him? Patrick plays Michael Holt, a hot-shot ultra-competitive surgeon whose life is changed forever when his ex-wife dies and begins teaching him what life is all about from the here-after.  There’s something so very watchable about a man struggling to be a better man.  We’ll cheer his successes but probably cheer his failures even louder.

NUMBER NINE: KIRK ACEVEDO

Kirk Acevedo: Hard Boiled

Who is he? Kirk Acevedo

What is he known for? He’s Charlie Francis from Fringe! His other notable credits include Band of Brothers, OZ, and The Thin Red Line.

What show is he on? Prime Suspect (NBC)

Why will we like him? Prime Suspect follows Jane Timoney, an iconoclastic female detective who has to make her bones in a tough New York precinct dominated by men. Kirk plays detective Phil Carter on the show and we can think of no one who conveys that sexy hard-boiled detective persona better than Bronx born and raised Acevedo. Also, he’s Charlie Francis from Fringe!

 NUMBER TEN: JOSHUA BOWMAN

Josh Bowman: Boyfriend Material?

Who is he? Joshua Bowman

What is he known for? Make it or Break it, Holby City, Prowl

What show is he on? Revenge (ABC)

Why will we like him? Revenge is a reworking of the classic Count of Monte Cristo story, but with a female lead. British thesp and former rugby player Joshua Bowman plays Daniel Grayson, the unsuspecting boyfriend of a vindictive young woman welcomed into a community of people who don’t know she’s only there to exact revenge on those who destroyed her family.  Go on admit it.  You were hooked at ‘British thesp and former rugby player,’ weren’t you?

I’m so happy to see Secret Circle gets 2 nods.
It might have had 3 if you put Thomas Dekker in there. *nudge nudge*
As you can tell I’m primarily watching for Thomas and of course Gale!
I’ve not heard much about Adam Harrington but holy smokes he’s one hot guy. Is he the show’s secret weapon hottie? I may have to change my mind about why I’m watching if he’s going to be in it for any length of time.
    Tortured soul! LOL!

sorry, don’t know how to edit my comment but I just noticed there are 2 interviews with Adam Harrington above the comments area. Sweet!
Any chance you could interview Thomas or Gale?

Hey Chevron One, any chance your going to follow this up with Fall TV’s hottest women? Just sayin’ 😉

This is actually a good rundown of new shows in its own right.

Had never heard of “Hell on Wheels” until now. Checked out a trailer just now. It looks good. Irish actor Colm Meany is in it. Another AMC hit in the making?

Will be checking out Prime Suspect and Terra Nova when they air.

      Hi Steve,
You’re not the first person to ask. We’ll do it!

AfterElton.com, the gay website, has been pushing Thomas Dekker, and only Thomas Dekker, as the big male news on “The Secret Circle,” and ignoring Gale Harold, despite the fact that Gale was just voted number 22 in their brand new Hot 100 list, so I can’t tell you how happy I am to see Gale here and not Dekker. It isn’t that I have anything against Dekker himself, but it’s just a nice thing today not to see his face. He’s getting plenty of attention anyway. It’s also nice to see Adam Harrington included. He’s not only a very handsome man, but he seems in his interviews to be a very nice one. I’m not so sure how sexy we’ll find him on the show, just because he’ll apparently be playing a weakling and a drunk, but he’s right purty to look at. Otherwise, several of the actors on your list are on AfterElton’s as well, with exactly the same pictures.

      Hi ducdebrabant,
Thanks for your comments. I interviewed Adam Harrington a while ago and found him to be a modest, funny and very warm guy. (He’s also totally gorgeous!) I think he’s a fine actor and I’m looking forward to seeing what he does with the character of Ethan Conant.

I’m not all that surprised to hear there’s a crossover between our list and AfterElton’s. (I went and read it after your comment here) I suppose we’re talking about the same thing (new shows this Fall and the people who are in them) but maybe just coming at it from different angles. There has to be some crossover.
With regard to the images, some newcomers have very few pictures on the web, Josh Bowman being one example, and Mido Hamada another. You’ll see the same one or two images for these guys reprinted everywhere right now. Hopefully with some more exposure we’ll see more pictures springing up, which I imagine can only be a good thing, right?

More pictures of these guys would be nothing but good, yes.

I will give Secret Circle a go just because of Adam Harrington. *fans self*

I loved Kirk Acevedo on Fringe so I will check out Prime Suspect.

Not so sure about the rest of the lot….Grimm might be interesting as will Terra Nova.
