Fairytale princesses, kick-ass warriors, sexy evil stepmothers, witches and a whole lot more are set to grace our screens as the Networks crank out a bevy of new shows this Fall. Join us as we predict which screen sirens will be keeping us glued to our screens each week.

In no particular order, we present the Geek’s Guide to Fall TV’s Hottest women.

NUMBER ONE: PHOEBE TONKIN

Phoebe Tonkin: Bewitching as Faye Chamberlain

Who is she? Phoebe Tonkin

What is she known for? Home and Away, H2O: Just Add Water, Packed to the Rafters

What show is she on? The Secret Circle (The CW)

Why will we like her? Native Australian Phoebe plays mean girl Faye Chamberlain on the CW’s The Secret Circle and manages to effortlessly balance a sense of superiority and entitlement with seduction and grace.  And did I mention she’s a witch?

NUMBER TWO: ANNIE ILONZEH

Annie Ilzoneh: Shady Past, Spicy Future

Who is she? Annie Ilzoneh

What is she known for? General Hospital, Melrose Place, Entourage

What show is she on? Charlie’s Angels (ABC)

Why will we like her? Scriptwriter Alfred Gough describes the characters in the show as ‘real and emotionally grounded.’  We like the look of Annie who plays Kate Prince, a Miami cop with a dirty past.  We also recently learned that the (new) Old Spice Man Isaiah Mustafa is set to recur as her ex boyfriend.  Kate’s a character with a shady past and a spicy future. What’s not to love?

NUMBER THREE: AMBER HEARD

Brains to Burn: Amber Heard’s Maureen

Who is she? Amber Heard

What is she known for? Zombieland, Drive Angry 3D, The Rum Diary, Never Back Down

What show is she on? The Playboy Club (NBC)

Why will we like her? We last saw Amber as ‘406’ the hot neighbor-turned-zombie of Jesse Eisenberg’s ‘Columbus’ in Zombieland.  Although things didn’t exactly go to plan for 406, we’re glad to see Amber alive and looking very well in The Playboy Club.  The show centers around the Bunnies and patrons of the original Playboy Club in 1960s Chicago, where innocent but ambitious Maureen must negotiate her way carefully if she is to get ahead.  And if that picture of Amber in full Bunny costume doesn’t do it for you then you should probably be reading the Geeks Guide to Fall TV’s Hottest Men instead.

NUMBER FOUR: JENNIFER MORRISON

Jennifer Morrison: Enchanting

Who is she? Jennifer Morrison

What is she known for? House, How I Met Your Mother, J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek

What show is she on? Once Upon A Time (ABC)

Why will we like her? You may remember Jennifer’s brief but unforgettable appearance as Kirk’s mother in J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek reboot. We’re happy to report that you’ll be seeing a lot more of her in Once Upon a Time.  Jennifer plays Emma Swan, a bail bonds collector with a troubled past who is drawn into a small town in Maine.  Emma soon learns that the mystery of fairy tales are real and that as the daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming, she holds the key to saving the Real World and the Enchanted Forest. There’s just so much here to play with.  We can’t say just what Jennifer will bring to this role, but we do know she’s bound to be enchanting.

NUMBER FIVE: CHRISTINE ADAMS

Christine Adams’ Mira: beautiful, battle-hardened and uncompromising.

Who is she? Christine Adams

What is she known for? TRON: Legacy, Batman Begins, Submerged

What show is she on? Terra Nova (Fox)

Why will we like her? British actress Christine Adams is no stranger to genre TV, having played roles on shows such as Stargate SG-1, Doctor Who and Pushing Daisies. On Fox’s high-concept dinosaur, adventure series Terra Nova, Adams plays Mira, leader of a renegade colony called Triple Junction.  Mira is described as beautiful, battle-hardened and uncompromising.

NUMBER SIX: SARAH JONES

Sarah Jones: The New Scully

Who is she? Sarah Jones

What is she known for? Sons of Anarchy, Big Love, The Wedding Bells

What show is she on? Alcatraz (Fox)

Why will we like her? Sarah plays police officer Rebecca Madsen in Fox’s upcoming Alcatraz.  When over 300 prisoners of the famous island prison Alcatraz suddenly reappear in modern day, some 50 years after their initial and unexplained disappearance, Madsen and her partner Dr. Diego Soto (Jorge Garcia) team up to solve the mystery. Why will we like Sarah Jones in Alcatraz? Intelligent and beautiful supernatural investigator with a sometimes irreverent partner and a shady boss? She’s so the next Scully! Watch this space.

NUMBER SEVEN: EMILY VANCAMP

Emily VanCamp: What Goes Around Comes Around

Who is she? Emily VanCamp

What is she known for? Brothers and Sisters, Everwood, Glory Days

What show is she on? Revenge (ABC)

Why will we like her? Don’t let these sweet and innocent looks fool you.  In this loose retelling of Alexandre Dumas’ The Count of Monte Cristo VanCamp plays Emily Thorne, a woman bent on revenge on those who destroyed her family.  Welcomed into a well to do community in the Hamptons, newcomer Emily isn’t quite as new as people think.  This was once her old neighborhood, before something terrible happened that ruined her family and their reputation.  Now Emily has returned to dish out some good old fashioned just desserts. This is a classic case of what goes around, comes around, with VanCamp the perfect choice as an iron hand in a velvet glove. They’ll never see it coming!

NUMBER EIGHT: LANA PARRILLA

Who is she? Lana Parrilla

What is she known for? Miami Medical, Swingtown, Windfall, 24

What show is she on? Once Upon A Time (ABC)

Why will we like her? Every fairytale needs an evil queen to cut through all that sweetness and Lana Parilla is the perfect woman for the job in ABC’s upcoming Once Upon a Time.  Set in a world where fairytales are true, Parrilla plays it cool and sexy and looks like she’s enjoying every moment of being Storybrook’s Big Bad.

NUMBER NINE: JULIE BENZ

Who is she? Julie Benz

What is she known for? Dexter, No Ordinary Family, Desperate Housewives, Angel

What show is she on? A Gifted Man (CBS)

Why will we like her? Julie Benz’s genre TV credits are too long to mention and include roles in such classic shows as Buffy the Vampie Slayer, Roswell, CSI, and more.  In A Gifted Man, Benz plays Christina, sister to Michael, a talented but self-absorbed man whose life is turned upside down when his recently dead wife reappears as a ghost in order to teach him how to lead a more meaningful life. Christina believes in the supernatural and readily embraces her dead sister-in-law’s grand plan for her selfish brother. Benz is perfect for the role as Michel’s single-parent sister, struggling to bring up her troubled teenage son, while maintaining her positive outlook on life.  Benz infuses her characters with fragility and strength in equal measure, which makes her a captivating and entertaining addition to this list.

NUMBER TEN: ZOOEY DESCHANEL

Zooey Deschanel is the new girl

Who is she? Zooey Deschanel

What is she known for? Yes Man, Your Highness, 500 Days of Summer

What show is she on? New Girl (Fox)

Why will we like her? Zooey Deschanel knows how to effortlessly combine goofy charm with sex appeal. In this upcoming Fox comedy, Deschanel plays Jess, a twenty-something singleton, who following a bad breakup, moves into an apartment with a trio of men. They reluctantly accept her because her friend Cece (Hannah Simone) is a model and they imagine Jess may be able to provide an introduction.  Deschanel is charming in whatever role she plays but in New Girl we get to see something additionally endearing in her portrayal of vulnerable, awkward and naive Jess.

Fingers crossed for Julia Benz, she was beyond awesome on Angel. Too bad NOM was a flop, the concept was good but the writing was terrible. Her character on Dexter became annoying but again that was the writers fault.
