Episode 1.07 – 5/1 (August 5th)
An anonymous source provides advanced details on an important story that will be the subject of a televised speech given by the president, prompting the ‘News Night’ staff to cut short their one-year anniversary party.
Episode 1.08 – The Blackout Part I: Tragedy Porn (August 12th)
When ‘News Night’ downplays a couple of sensational stories, the ratings take a plunge, forcing Will and Mac to find a way to lure back enough viewers to justify the Network’s goal for a Republican debate. Sloan, meanwhile is unhappy with the lack of coverage on a breaking financial story, and Charlie uncovers the identity of a National Security Agency whistle-blower.
Episode 1.09 – The Blackout Part II: Mock Debate (August 19)
Episode nine sees the ‘News Night’ staging a mock debate. Meanwhile Lisa goes off-script during an interview and Mac has an epiphany.
Episode 1.10 – The Greater Fool (August 26)
The final episode of the season sees Will, Mac and Charlie facing off against Leona and Reese. Meanwhile Nina surprises Mac, Sloan considers a job offer and Neal smokes out a threat.
