X-Files stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson get a little real in this new video interview, and we couldn’t be happier.

Speaking about the new X-Files mini-series that’s set to intrigue a whole new generation of fans when it premieres Sunday night, the veteran actors not only dished on what makes their characters tick on TV, but also off-screen.

“I appreciate her more than ever, all the time,” says Duchovny, to an “aww,” from Anderson.

“Watching her grow – and I’m not being condescending – but watching her grow as a person and an actor is amazing,” he added. “Gillian is somebody who has never stopped pushing herself  and I really appreciate that. I’ve never told you that,” he adds, shyly.

“No you haven’t. That’s so sweet,” says Anderson.

Catch what Anderson has to say in return about her unique relationship with her X-Files co-star, along with more scoop on the new series below.
