Torchwood Ratings On Par With Those Of Camelot

By on July 11, 2011

The numbers are in.  The joint Starz/BBC production of Torchwood: Miracle Day premiered to 1.51 million viewers (819,000 for the initial premiere on Friday at 10 pm and 687,000 for the 11 pm encore.)  The figures are just slightly less than those of Camelot, another now cancelled Starz production.

Those worrying that Torchwood may suffer a similar fate to Camelot should know that Starz admitted canceling Camelot over ‘significant production challenges’ including scheduling problems with the cast.

It will be interesting to see if Torchwood can hold its own for its 10 episode run.
