Blindspot, a dark new conspiracy thriller from Arrow’s Greg Berlanti and Martin Gero (Bored to Death), hits screens from Sept. 21 on NBC.

The series follows Jane Doe, a “blank slate” who wakes naked in the middle of Times Square with no memory of her previous life – or how she came to be inked with a series of dense and intricate tattoos that will, over time, unravel a dangerous conspiracy – and provide clues as to her real identity.

In the following video interview, Jaimie Alexander talks about her character Jane, and the “treasure map” of her ink, which says the actress, “offers the only clue to who she is, or who she might have been.”

Alexander also discusses the pilot episode’s most emotional and challenging scene in which Times Square was shut down to enable filming.”It was definitely the most epic scene in any project I’ve ever worked on,” admits the actress.

Click through our three videos below to find out more on Jane and Agent Kurt Weller’s (Sullivan Stapleton) “intense relationship” and the evolution of Jane’s tattoos, as discussed by make up artist Christien Tinsley, known for his work on I Am Legend, The Passion of the Christ and American Horror Story.

Blindspot premieres on NBC on Monday Sept. 21.(10:00-11:00 pm ET/PT).
