‘We won’t drag our feet on Terra Nova’ says Fox Entertainment Chief

By on January 8, 2012

Fox Entertainment chief Kevin Reilly has made Terra Nova fans a promise not to drag his feet on a renewal/cancellation decision.

Reilly’s comments came during the TCA Winter Press tour today. “We’ll decide very soon. It needs to get back into production next month. We won’t be able to drag our feet on it for too long.

Terra Nova is one show among several (including projects in development and mid-season series) awaiting renewal news.

The bar was set enormously high,” said Reilly, speculating on the show’s possible demise. “And if this is all we produce? We made money. The studio made money. The audience enjoyed it.”

Reilly admitted that the show’s extensive list of executive producers (including Steven Spielberg) made for quite a creative challenge, and the perception of the series may have ‘got away from us a little’ as a result.

If we had more holes, we’d be thrilled to lock [Terra Nova] in,” he said. “Right now we’re looking at everything.”
