New drama Hostages premieres on CBS on Monday September 23rd, and stars Toni Collette as a surgeon coerced into a plot to assassinate the president by a terrorist organization headed up by rogue FBI agent Duncan Carlisle (Dylan McDermot).

Today, CBS released first details on the second episode, “Invisible Leash” which is set to air on Monday September 30th.

“Invisible Leash” – When Ellen disobeys Duncan’s orders to assassinate the President during surgery, he tells her it will cost her a family member’s life. Duncan also informs the family that they are to go about their normal lives for the next two weeks until the President’s operation, and that his team will be monitoring their every move, on HOSTAGES, Monday, Sept. 30 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Hilarie Burton recurs as Samantha, Brian’s mistress.
