Teenage Finch is Inspired to Create the Machine in Person of Interest's

Person of Interest, you broke our heart recently, but it seems we still can’t get enough of you.

The latest details from CBS on Dec. 17th’s “Lethe” tease that we’ll get more flashbacks – this time to Finch’s adolescence and the origins of the Machine.

Although we love the show’s weekly flashback element, might this one be pushing the clock back a little too far? Then again, it might just be us feeling all passive aggressive over Carter.

FLASHBACKS TO FINCH’S PAST PROVIDE INSIGHT INTO HIS CREATION OF THE MACHINE, ON “PERSON OF INTEREST,” TUESDAY, DEC. 17

“Lethe” – Flashbacks to Finch’s adolescence provide insight into his creation of The Machine. Also, the team receives the number of an already dying man, and Reese leaves the POI team behind in the aftermath of the war with the crime organization, HR, on Person of Interest, Tuesday, Dec. 17 (10:01 – 11:00 PM ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Person of Interest stars Jim Caviezel (Reese), Michael Emerson (Finch), Kevin Chapman (Detective Fusco), Sarah Shahi (Shaw) and Amy Acker (Root).

“Lethe” was written by Erik Mountain and directed by Richard J. Lewis.
