There’s awkwardness all around in these two new sneak peek clips from Tuesday’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

“The Return” (the show’s penultimate episode of the season, fyi) will see Coulson and the team, now back in the real world, coping with the realization that an even deadlier threat is looming, and that Aida in ‘human’ form, is still a force to be reckoned with.

In clip one, Coulson and May take stock of their situation, as they realize that although they are free from the Framework, they are still effectively trapped in an underwater prison.

As May devises a plan of escape, the subject of Robot May causes Melinda to briefly wonder if she “made a move” on Coulson. Coulson has no need to feel embarrassed however, as May’s idea of making a move is apparently very different from his.

In a more sinister second clip, we see firsthand where Aida transported Fitz — a deserted beach where she can experience human sensations for the first time. However a horrified Fitz is still reeling from his memory of the man he was within the Framework, and the role Aida played as Madam Hydra. Watch as Aida attempts to convince Fitz that his Framework identity was all Radcliffe’s doing, and that she was as much of a prisoner there as he was.

However that’s not Aida’s biggest reveal as Fitz soon discovers.

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. stars Clark Gregg as Agent Phil Coulson, Ming-Na Wen as Agent Melinda May, Chloe Bennet as Daisy Johnson, Iain De Caestecker as Agent Leo Fitz, Elizabeth Henstridge as Agent Jemma Simmons, Henry Simmons as Agent Alphonso “Mack” MacKenzie and John Hannah as Holden Radcliffe.

Guest starring are Natalia Cordova-Buckley as Elena “Yo-Yo” Rodriguez, Mallory Jansen as Aida, Adrian Pasdar as Brigadier General Glenn Talbot, Briana Venskus as Agent Piper, Maximilian Osinski as Agent Davis, Zach McGowan as The Superior.

“The Return” airs Tuesday, May 9 (10:00-11:00 p.m. EDT), on ABC.
