More Casting News for Abrams’ Star Trek Sequel

With filming scheduled to begin this week, JJ Abrams’ new Star Trek film is apparently still hiring actors. The latest addition to the cast is British actor Joseph Gatt (above) who played Grundroth the Frost Giant in the movie Thor. No word has leaked yet on what character Gatt will be playing.

Another British actor well known in science fiction circles, Noel Clarke (Mickey Smith on Doctor Who), was cast last week. Clarke’s character in the film will be “a family man with a wife and young daughter,” according to Variety.
