SHADOWHUNTERS Exclusive: Alec’s Life Hangs By a Thread in “Parabatai Lost”

By on January 11, 2017

Jace Wayland is a wanted man. No like really really wanted.

It seems there isn’t one person in New York who isn’t desperately seeking Jace for reasons of their own in the next episode of Freeform’s Shadowhunters.

“Parabatai Lost” will find Jace alone, injured, and separated from Clary once again as he struggles to stay alive after the New York wolf pack single him out as Gretal’s killer and demand blood for blood.

Meanwhile, both Aldertree and his friends continue their separate quests to locate Jace against a ticking clock. Question: How do you find the most wanted man in New York? (We’re asking for a friend.)

We’ve seen the episode a little early, thanks to our friends at Freeform, and have a collection of teasers and tidbits to share with you. As always, we make it a point never to reveal any major plot points that might spoil your enjoyment of the show, but we urge you to proceed with caution, nevertheless.

Shadowhunters stars Katherine McNamara as Clary Fray, Dominic Sherwood as Jace Wayland, Alberto Rosende as Simon Lewis, Emeraude Toubia as Isabelle Lightwood, Matthew Daddario as Alec Lightwood, Isaiah Mustafa as Luke Garroway and Harry Shum Jr. as Magnus Bane.

Alec’s Condition

Wondering what the deal is with Alec, that Parabatai calling stone and his Sleeping Beauty-like coma? All will be revealed this week, but as it turns out those revelations will be deeply worrying for all concerned.

It seems that in order to reach Jace, Alec has had to put a little bit of his soul out there (we know just how that feels, Alec!), in the hope of finding his Parabatai. But between Valentine’s wards, Dot’s portal and everything else that has been going on with Jace recently, locating this particular  Parabatai has been kinda tricky. Now a piece of Alec’s soul is out there, trapped between brothers. Without Jace’s physical presence Alec will continue to fade away.

Jace knows all of this, right? Wait, what?
