Red (James Spader) may be safely over his kidnap ordeal last week, but the atmosphere between he and Liz (Megan Boone) is still decidedly chilly, as this new sneak peek clip from tonight’s new episode of The Blacklist reveals.

“Les Fleurs Du Mal” will see Red attempting to negotiate with a former associate involved in the secret Townsend Directive.

However, his efforts to do so are linked to another shady organization — Les Fleurs Du Mal —  a group whose sole objective is to “offend public morality” through a series of shocking and violent acts, according to Red.

In the clip below, Red tells Liz more about the group, named after the title of one of famous French poet Charles Baudelaire’s banned poems.

But while Red is happy to discuss Les Fleurs Du Mal, and even the condition of Liz’ grandfather Dom (Critical!), he firmly draws the line at detailing anything further about “The woman who tried to kill him.”

However while Red pursues his own investigation this week, Katarina (Laila Robbins) takes steps to insinuate herself into Liz’s life as the perfect nanny.

Meanwhile, Aram (Amir Arison) will be chosen as the agent to go undercover while investigating Les Fleurs — while rocking a pretty impressive James Bond style suit.

The “Les Fleurs Du Mal” episode of The Blacklist airs Friday, October 18 (8-9 p.m. ET) on NBC.
