BONES Season 11 Premiere: 5 Things to Know

By on September 15, 2015

BONES: Emily Deschanel as Dr. Temperance Brennan and David Boreanaz as FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth. Co. Cr: Brian Bowen Smith/FOX

Bones is back for a record eleventh season on October 1st.

The premiere episode “The Loyalty in the Lie” will explore what happens when Booth goes missing, leaving Brennan and the Squints with nothing more to go on than the remains of a corpse that bears him a remarkable resemblance.

Is Booth really dead? Why does the body bear an uncanny likeness to our missing FBI agent, and why has Agent Grace Miller (guest star Kim Raver) taken such an interest in the case?

As Brennan struggles to overcome her fears and work the evidence, others in the team find it hard to think anything other than the unthinkable.

Meanwhile, Arastoo wonders if he has what it takes to become the lab’s lead forensic anthropologist.

We’ve seen the premiere a little early, thanks to our friends at FOX, and have some teasers to share with you.

As usual, we’ve tried our hardest to avoid outright plot spoilers that might otherwise ruin your enjoyment and surprise. However, we urge readers to take caution as one man’s teaser is another man’s spoiler …

Here then are 5 things to know about Bones’ season 11 premiere “The Loyalty in the Lie.”

Happy Families

If you’ve been hankering to see some quality family time in Bones’ season 11 premiere, then you won’t be disappointed. Prepare to see Brennan and Booth, along with Christine and her new baby brother, at ease and at home some six months after the events of last season’s finale. And yes, there’s lots of Booth holding his new son, changing a diaper and just hanging out.  And for those wondering what Junior’s name is, the answer can be found hidden in the first line of this paragraph.

It’s not all smiles however. Booth takes off for work looking like he’s never coming back … and with good reason, as you will discover.
