Taraji P. Henson Returns to Person of Interest

If you’re still nursing a sore spot over Taraji P. Henson’s departure from CBS’ Person of Interest, then you may be interested to know the Empire star will make a (brief) return to the show in an upcoming episode.

Henson will reprise her role as Carter in April 14th’s “Terra Incognita,” a flashback episode that will see Reese (Jim Caviezel) going solo to work a cold case Carter was never able to solve.

During Reese’s investigation, we will flash back to his time working with Carter on the case.

Memorably, Carter, a core character right from the pilot episode, was fatally gunned down by HR operatives in season 3. However she was not the only character to leave the show in such a shocking manner. Sarah Shahi ‘s Shaw was similarly felled by Samaritan agents earlier this season.

Henson’s appearance in “Terra Incognita” may be a series of flashbacks, but we’ll take it to see Carter again.
