Motive Season Finale: Amanda Tapping Guest Stars

Stargate alum Amanda Tapping will guest star in ABC Motive’s finale episode on Thursday August 29th, ScreenSpy has learned.

The show ends its current seasonal run with two back to back (but unrelated) episodes, “Ruthless,” airing at 8:00 pm ET, and “The One Who Got Away,” airing 9:00 pm ET.

Tapping, who plays Dr. Kate Robbins in the season’s final hour, features in an episode involving Flynn and Vega’s investigation into the murder of a teenage boy, in which Angie’s  experience and training are challenged to right the wrongs of the past and catch a killer before he can kill again.

Also guest starring in “The One Who Got Away” are Chris Mason as Cameron Radcliffe, Grayson Gabriel as Nathan Conroy, Jake Croker as young man no. 1, Zach Martin as young man no. 2, Andre Tricoteux as bouncer, Jaime Callica as club guy, Doug Chapman as Bryce Conroy, Joanne Wilson as Jennifer Conroy, Alison Wandzura as Amanda Holmes, Brent Stait as Uncle Dave and Matt Hamilton as unit sergeant.

“The One Who Got Away” was written by James Thorpe and directed by David Frazee.

The preceding 8:00 pm episode sees the detectives investigating the murder of an executive assistant only to discover an unexpected link between the killer and the victim.

Guest starring in “Ruthless” are Carly Pope as Sonia Brauer, Patrick Gilmore as Ian Brauer, Matthew MacCaull as Brendan Kendall, Anna Galvin as Dr. Hillary Byrnes, Alistair Abell as Gord McNally, Andrew Airlie as Jimmy Ramsay, Claire Smithies as Corrine, Ross Noble as Gary, Catherine Michaud as Felicia, Kevan Ohtsji as head of security, Nick Hunnings as Randy Kitch and Catherine Barroll as Linda Kendall.

“Ruthless” was written by Katherine Collins and directed by Stefan Pleszczynski.

Motive stars Kristin Lehman as Detective Angie Flynn, Louis Ferreira as Detective Oscar Vega, Lauren Holly as Dr. Betty Rogers, Roger Cross as Staff Sergeant Boyd Bloom, Brendan Penny as Detective Brian Lucas and Cameron Bright as Manny Flynn.
