According to the Wikipedia definition “Meta Fiction” describes fictional writing that self-consciously and systematically draws attention to its status as an artifact in posing questions about the relationship between fiction and reality.

… In short, it’s a story about a writer writing a story.

But what if the story were being written by Matatron himself, and what if his novel involved Cas, the Winchesters and a mission to assume total power and play God?

Then there’s that long overdue meeting between Sam and Gadreel, the angel who murdered Kevin earlier this season.

That’s just what Supernatural fans have to look forward to in April 15th’s episode. Yes, the long wait is killing us too.

And just check out what Metatron is typing on his ancient typewriter – Castiel’s doubts about failure, Gadreel’s summoning horn, and an ambush. Well, he’s enthusiastic. I’ll give him that.

More as we have it* but first, an extended promo trailer.

* We now have an official synopsis to go with this report.
